Arguably, personalized learning is the exact opposite of mass instruction. For example, mass instruction focuses on same learning goals and pace for all learners on a certain level. Personalized learning sets different paces, goals, and approaches based on each learner's current ability and interests. Another important aspect of personalized learning: it us USUALLY enhanced or implemented with technology.
